No matter your situation, our Equipment Take-Back Program is the best way to get rid of your old degausser or destruction device. Read on for some Q & As about the program.
What is Data Security Inc.®’s Equipment Take-Back Program?
The Take-Back Program is a service that includes the appraisal, disassembly, recycling and disposal of degaussers and other data destruction equipment. We identify the safest, most eco-friendly methods to reuse, recycle and properly dispose of your equipment once it’s reached the end of its life.
What services does the Take-Back Program provide?
Besides disassembly and disposal, we also appraise and collect any reusable whole products or parts; refurbishment to reuse is an important part of recycling and saving the environment. Should your old equipment have any value, we’ll give you a credit based on your item’s fair market value to apply toward any new or refurbished product from Data Security, Inc.® Even if your old equipment doesn’t hold monetary value, we’ll still recycle it for you.
Is the Equipment Take-Back Program free?
Yes, it’s 100% free to everyone!
Do you take any degaussers, or just your own?
Whether it’s working or not, we can appraise any degausser or destruction device, regardless if it’s manufactured by Data Security, Inc.® or a competitor.
Do you take other equipment besides degaussers?
It varies, but yes! If the item is used for digital data destruction, we may be able to accept it. Please reach out to us with any inquiries.
