Degausser Testing:

Periodic testing of electronic equipment is a widely accepted practice and often required.
• The National Security Agency Central Security Service (NSA/CSS) policy manual 9-12 states to:“test permanent magnetic degaussers and electronic pulse degaussers before each session.”
• The National Security Agency’s (NSA) Evaluated Products List (EPL) for Magnetic Degaussers  states that: “Customers should re-test equipment according to the manufacturer, or through the use of an NSA/CSS approved magnetic field verification device as identified on page 3”.
• Other certifications requiring degausser testing include R2v3, e-Stewards, and NAID AAA.
